Bashkiria and Volga regions signed a cooperation agreement in the field of tourism at the "ITM"


In Moscow a business program of the main tourist exhibition — IX International Exhibition "Intourmarket 2014" completed. The Delegation of Bashkortostan Republic headed by the chief of the Tourism Agency RB Artem Kolesnikov  took part in a variety of events, meetings and presentations during four days of its work.

Bashkortostan Republic presented its exposition in the framework of the "Big Volga" exhibition stand.

The tourist brand "Big Volga" combines several regions of the Russian Federation on which territory the river goes. Ulyanovsk, Samara, Saratov, Penza and Nizhny Novgorod Regions, Bashkortostan, Tatarstan, Chuvashia and Mari El signed an agreement on cooperation in cruise tourism, increase in the tourist flow due to visitors from neighboring regions, appearance of additional tourist routes. It means for Bashkortostan which has recently lost the privileges that deep river gives for tourism, that the cities located along the banks of the rivers Belaya and Kama (Ufa, Birsk) will receive additional opportunities for the development of their tourism industry and the economy as a whole.

A presentation of tourist potential of the region and tasting Bashkir honey, mineral waters of republican resorts, national sweets and herbal tea formulations were organized at the stand of Bashkortostan Republic.

Participants of the conference on pilgrimage tourism held talks with colleagues from other regions of the Russian Federation, told about the attractiveness of Bashkortostan for both Muslim and Christian world.

Representatives of resorts and tour operators of Bashkortostan attended the conferences on health tourism, "Children's rest and tourism in Russia. Prospects and barriers", the training seminar of the Federal Tourism Agency and the World Tourism Organization «IT- technology and Innovative Marketing Tools in Modern Tourism Industry".
