Uralsib customers were incorrectly debited due to the failure of MasterCard payment system

Uralsib bank customers — MasterCard cardholders were incorrectly debited due to the failure of MasterCard payment system on March 18.

“This is not the fault of our bank, the failure occurred directly in the MasterCard payment system. As a result the MasterCard accounts debiting occurred. Uralsib was notified about the incident. This problem is being solved now and will be settled in the near future. Unfortunately, we do not have the information about the reason of this. In the near future, money means will be automatically returned to all such cardholders,” Uralsib assures.

The bank found it difficult to say to how many cardholders they would have to return incorrectly debited  means. At the same time they explained that the sums debited were different at all cardholders.

Meanwhile, the Savings Bank of Russia informed Bashinform News Agency that "it does not register any information" about today's incorrect debiting the accounts of MasterCard cardholders.
