An awarding ceremony of deputies participated actively in the preparation and conducting National Forum "Large families in Russia: a family as one of the foundations of Russian statehood” took place in the State Duma.
The forum was held in the framework of the events dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Constitution and the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. One of the main objectives of the family policy is to strengthen the state support for families with children, fostering the institution of the family. Particular attention is required for large families. Measures of state support for families, including families with many children, are available both at the federal and regional levels.
Since 2007, Russia introduced a new extra measure of state support for families who had a second or subsequent child — maternal (family) capital.
According to the amendments to the federal law citizens who have three or more children are eligible to receive free land plots in cases and due to the procedure established by local laws of the Russian subjects.
