Famous dancer Vladimir Vasilyev will read a fairy tale to children in Ufa

On Monday, March 17, children in ward of the Charitable Educational Foundation "Markhamat", as well as children from orphanages and shelters, pupils of music schools once again will have an interesting meeting. As part of the charity project "Children's Album" initiated in January 2014 by "Markhamat" Foundation together with the Symphony Orchestra of the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theatre, with support of the Ministry of Culture RB a famous dancer and choreographer Vladimir Vasiliev is invited to Ufa. He will read two tales to children: "The Tale of the Priest and of His Workman Balda", music by Dmitry Shostakovich and "The Tale of the Golden Cockerel" by Nikolay Rimsky-Korsakov.

The event will be held at the State Academic Russian Drama Theatre RB.

The symphonic music of great composers will be performed by the orchestra of Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theatre. Conductor — Raushan Yakupov. Artistic expression — Vladimir Vasiliev.

This is the first visit of Vladimir Vasiliev to the republic. During his stay he plans to get acquainted with culture and traditions of Bashkortostan, and to meet with students of R.Nureev’s Bashkir Choreographic College.

The aim of the project "Children's Album" is to present classical music from different eras, genres and styles to young listeners, to inculcate in them a taste and love for music. The author of the idea is the conductor of opera and ballet theatre Raushan Yakupov.
