International event "Nature. People. Culture" became a diploma holder of the XVII National Award in the field of public relations "Silver Archer". In the category "Best project for development and promotion of territories" weekly photo tours over Bashkiria received recognition within this event. Expeditions with participation of foreign photographers are held in the republic the 24th consecutive year.
The "Nature. People. Culture" was awarded the honorary certificate of the competition. It was displayed to experts during the Open Day of presentation of the best projects in the International Multimedia Centre " RIA Novosti " in Moscow.
“Over the years, more than 200 photographers from different countries and Russian regions visited Bashkiria, thus a unique archive of photographs was collected,” Gulchachak Hannanova, the head of the press centre of the Plenipotentiary Representative Office of Bashkortostan under the President RF said.
The chairman of the Union of Photographers of Russia Andrei Baskakov during the presentation of the "Nature. People. Culture" noted that it was unique not only in Russia but also in the world.
“Photo tours are held from time to time in many parts of the world, but only in Bashkiria, they have been successfully organized for the 24th consecutive year”, the artist said.
The republic widely uses material produced during the photo tours in order to increase its recognizability in the world. In Italy "Russian — Bashkir weeks" held in December 2012 in Turin became a striking example of this. A video about our republic shot by three photographers from Italy, who visited the republic in different years was shown on the Italian television. There was also a non-traditional exposition of Italian photographers devoted to the republic. The pictures were exhibited in the windows of shops and restaurants of the city.
The photo tours have big plans for 2014 and 2015, and they are closely connected with the preparation of the republic for the SCO and BRICS Summits.
The chairman of the Bashkir Branch of the Union of Photographers of Russia Ramil Kilmamatov said that the largest and most representative mission with the participation of photographers from Brazil, India, China and a number of CIS countries was already held in June 2013. This year a new list of participants is formed and a photo tour will be held from June 9 to 16.
