The President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov visited a laboratory of the multiple-access centre of republican electronic cluster.
The centre has four laboratories: networking, computer-aided design, robotics, and protective coatings. 100 million rubles were directed for creation of multiple-access centre, 80 million rubles from the federal budget, 20 million rubles were allocated from the republican budget.
Companies belonging to the republican electronic cluster can use the premises and equipment of the centre. The laboratories were opened a month ago, now three companies are conducting research here: Polygon, ERTech, Technosoft. Rustem Khamitov examined the laboratories, their elaborations and technical capabilities of the equipment.
In particular, the head of the republic was shown a robot dog, which movements were controlled by the computer. Currently, developers are engaged in upgrading the software. In addition, the robotics laboratory develops a program for virtual reality glasses with a contactless sensor. The complex can be used in medicine, cognitive psychology and as a simulator for studying various physical processes.
“Modern analogues of this equipment represent themselves a room with powerful computers”, the project coordinator of immersion systems and interaction with virtual reality objects of ERTech Victor Erivantsev said. “It costs about 28 million rubles. The price of our development is about 300 thousand rubles, the prototype is expected to be released in December 2014.”
