Journalists and experts discussed problems of industrial safety in Ufa
Bashinform News Agency held the first meeting this year of members of the Association of Business and Economic Journalism RB dedicated to industrial safety and labour health protection.
Besides journalists, members of the Interbranch Bashkir Institute of Labour Protection, Environmental and Occupational Safety, the State Labour Inspectorate RB, Rospotrebnadzor RB, as well as representatives of large industrial enterprises took part in the discussion.
Industrial safety and labour health protection topics were selected for discussion not by chance.
Currently, these problems remain among the most pressing at almost every enterprise.
According to experts, only a coordinated state policy in the field of occupational health and safety, objective risk assessment, implementation of new technologies and, of course, increased attention to this issue by the management of industrial enterprises are able to change the status quo.
As it was reported at the meeting by the deputy head of the State Labour Inspectorate in Bashkortostan Vladimir Grebennikov, occupational injury rate in the republic reduced every year.
According to the head of the department, this was achieved largely due to the "complex, active work of republican authorities, public organizations and employers ."
“Large companies today are quite serious about the issue of health and safety. Among them there is JSOC Bashneft and "Paker" enterprise engaged in production of equipment for oil industry,” Vladimir Grebennikov noted.
