The average value of minimum living wage is set in the fourth quarter of 2013. It amounted to 6446 rubles. The Government resolution was adopted on February 20.
For the working population the living wage is established at 6865 rubles, for pensioners — 5273 rubles, for children — 6404 rubles.
The minimum living wage is established at the regional level in Russia, and it is designed to assess the standard of living of the population while development and implementation of social programs. The volume of social support for low-income citizens is calculated basing on this index, the press service of the Government RB informs.
