author: Dmitry Slezin

At the Winter Olympics in Sochi men’s Large Hill K-125 competitions were held. Two Ufa ski-jumpers successfully passed the first series of jumps — Ilmir Hazetdinov closed the top thirty, and the leader and team veteran Dmitry Vasiliev jumped over 130 meters – the 25th place.

In his final attempt Dmitry Vasiliev set a record jump — 144.5 metres, but when landing touched snow cover with hands, thereby losing points for technique. As a result, Dmitry finished the competitions only on the 26th place.

Ilmir Hazetdinov progresses with each jump, but so far he is only on the 29th place.

Kamil Stoch won the K-125 individual, Japanese Noriaki Kasai has a silver medal, the bronze went to the Slovenian Peter Prevc.

On February 17 the Olympic program in ski jumping will finish with team tournament.
