Ufa will host the final of the World Cup and European Championship in ice climbing
From 28 February to 2 March, a final of the World Cup and European Championship in mountaineering in the discipline of "ice climbing" will be held in Ufa.
For the first time winter extreme sportsmen from more than 20 countries will come to the capital of Bashkortostan. They will compete for the title of the strongest on the icy slopes of the most challenging trails of the largest climbing complex of the country — "Kul- Tau".
Note that Ufa will be the only place in Russia, which will host international competitions in the season 2013/2014. Prior to this, Kirov was the venue of such high level in this sport.
As the press service of the Government RB informs, Ufa won the right to host such major events, after welcoming the Russian Cup Final (in 2012) and the Russian Championship in mountaineering (2013).
Today already over 100 participants from Russia announced their participation in the competition.
Ufa sportsmen as part of the Russian team will also take part in the final of the World Cup and European Championship: Albina Musabirova, Dina Muftahova, Gleb Makuha and Timur Gilmutdinov, whose coaches are Alexander Voskresensky and Arkady Izyumov.
