Ufa International Airport and Vnukovo Airport earned three stars in the rating of air hubs on convenience for passengers, which was made by "AviaPort" agency experts. This was reported by the press service of the Ufa airport.
Experts conducted a study of passenger infrastructure at Russian airports. Grades were put on a scale similar to the British Skytrax consulting agency.
The biggest air hubs were analysed by researchers: Vnukovo, Pulkovo, as well as 20 regional airports.
Airports were chosen on the basis of passenger traffic flow (at least half a million people per year); relatively uniform distribution throughout the country, presence of all airport holdings and several independent operators.
The analysis showed that Ufa Airport is on par with Moscow Vnukovo on the level of quality of services rendered to passengers and infrastructure. In both airports, the representatives of "AviaPort" agency noted new or reconstructed terminals, optimized procedures of passenger service, no noticeable queues, adequate set of related services (shops, cafes), which allows estimating the level of comfort as average or above average. High level of comfort is typical for airports of Vladivostok, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Novosibirsk and Sochi.
