President of Bashkortostan: "We all will get a beautiful outlook of our city to the Summits"

Rustem Khamitov gave detailed answers to the question "What actually will people of the republic get due to the Summits of 2015?", in his interview to "Komsomolskaya Pravda".

“We all will get a beautiful outlook of our city. The facilities, which will be renovated: "Neftyanik" recreation centre, Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theatre. A new storage facility and exhibition hall will appear in the Nesterov’s Museum,” the head of the republic said. “This year a construction of a new quay on the River White from the railway bridge towards the Monument of Friendship will begin. Our residents will receive a new international terminal at the airport.”

At the airport parking aprons for heavy and superheavy aircrafts will appear. This means that tour operators will send large comfortable aircrafts here, for example, Boeing-777 or Airbus 330. The airport will be one of the best regional aircomplexes in the country.

“Total 4-4.5 billion rubles will be spent for the reconstruction of the airport for two years. These are federal funds,” the President said.

Ufa streets will also change considerably. Many residential houses will be restored and renovated. TV centre area and the area near the monument to Salavat Yulaev will suffer global changes.”

“This great work is not for the Summits. It is performed for the residents of the city and our republic,” Khamitov said.

The head of the republic also marked that "this is just an external state of things". Due to the Summits the republic will be able to position itself worldwide.

“I often meet with foreigners — they do not know about us. Just as we do not know about cities in the heart of the USA, Germany and India. We understand that we will never be famous as Moscow or St. Petersburg. But we should be in the top ten of the most recognizable regions of the Russian Federation. The territory attractiveness for investors also depends on this” Rustem Khamitov expressed is confidence.
