Social workers salary increased by 69 percent, and wages of employees of social service institutions rose by 31 percent in Bashkortostan. This was reported by the Minister of Labour and Social Protection RB Lenara Ivanova at the extended board meeting of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection RB, which was held in Ufa on February 6. Issues of wages, occupational injuries and amendments to the labour law were discussed at the meeting.

Also on January 1, 2014 in Russia, instead of qualification procedure, which has been existed for more than 28 years, a system of special assessment of labour conditions was introduced. In addition, the amended Labour Code provides that on the basis of collective agreements, as well as the employee's written consent an additional leave and reduced working hours can be monetized.

The meeting marked the tasks for 2014: to run the work of territorial divisions after their reorganization, arrange provisions of the federal law "On social service", which will come into force in 2015.
