Republican economists consider that Russia should choose the way of innovative development
In Ufa, a round table on the results of the Gaidar Forum brought together leading economists of our republic: academicians, experts, government officials, public and political figures. The event was held at Bashkir Academy of Public Service and Management (BAGSU) under the President RB.
Reports were made by participants of the Moscow Gaidar Forum, including Deputy Prime Minister, the Minister of Economic Development RB Eugenie Mavrin, the dean of the Faculty of Economics BAGSU Dinara Peskova, as well as the Head of the Department of Economic Analysis and Business Ufa State University of Economics and Service Rustam Malikov.
Scientists discussed issues related to assessing the state of the Russian economy and its regions, talked about choosing the ways of further development of the country. As it was noted at the round table our state moved up by 20 points in the World Bank’s rating "Doing Business". This reflects positive trends signaling investors about favourable business climate.
Panel members concluded that our own effective economic model of our country is still have to be worked out. Russia should as quickly as possible turn on the way of innovative development, and not just "patch holes". In this regard the BAGSU Rector Sergey Lavrentiev underlined that the greatest hope was laid on academician economists, their active citizenship in the economic platform elaboration.
