Bashkiria occupied the seventh place in Russia on industrial production with a share of 2.7 percent
In 2013, Bashkortostan provided 2.7 percent of the Russian volume of shipped goods of own production, works and services of the industrial sector. According to the preliminary data of Bashkortostan Statistics Agency for this indicator, the republic ranks the seventh in the country. A year earlier the republic took the eighth position with a share of 2.5 percent.
Statistics say that over the past six years, the industrial production in Bashkortostan characterized by positive trends higher than average across Russia. By the end of 2013 the index of industrial production in the republic amounted to 102.3 percent while across Russia — 100.3 percent.
As for the manufacture of a number of major industrial products the republic traditionally occupies the leading position: the first place in Russia in terms of primary oil refining, production of light oil, soda ash, benzene, non-alloy steel wire, concrete mixers, truck-mounted concrete pumps, the second place – in production of ethylene, plastics, synthetic rubbers, thermally polished glass, twisted wire, roofing and waterproofing materials, technological lime, metal-cutting equipment, universal engines, civil helicopters, the third place — in production of caustic soda, sulfur, trolleybuses.
