The State Duma rejected a law bill on postponing a single voting day to November. The single voting day is still scheduled for the second Sunday in September.
The initiative to postpone the voting day was introduced by the deputies from the "Just Russia". According to them, moving elections to November would allow conducting a fully-featured election campaign aimed at attracting of maximum voters, according to RIA Novosti.
The relevant committee of the State Duma on constitutional legislation and state recommended rejecting the bill. Deputies supported the proposal.
