On January 17, the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov met with the CEO of the Chinese Haicheng Petroleum Machinery Manufacture Wang Zhenzhuan. According to the press service of the head of the region, prospects for establishing a joint venture on production of oil and gas equipment in the republic were discussed at the meeting.
“China is one of our main partners with which we are working today”, Rustem Khamitov said. “The annual trade turnover is about 600 million dollars. We are interested in choosing our republic as a place to produce oil and gas equipment. We establish the most favourable conditions for investors. We have formed modern legislation that gives good tax benefits to investors. The government helps to form a package of documents, to pass various kinds of administrative procedures. We work with major investors individually,” the President of Bashkortostan underlined.
“We produce modern equipment, which is supplied directly to more than 50 countries. Our policy is to produce high-tech equipment. We can create a joint venture to develop together. We received the information about you from the Development and Reform Committee of China. We were informed that Bashkortostan was seeking ways for cooperation. Our company is also interested in a partnership,” Mr. Zhenzhuan said.
