Russia's youth team won again at World Junior Championship 2014 in Malmö
The Russian team won a second consecutive major victory at the World Junior Championship 2014 IIHF, which takes place in Malmö. Our junior team defeated Switzerland — 7:1, conceding the first goal in the 16th minute from Fuchs.
Recall that two players of Ufa "Salavat Yulaev" play as part of the Russian team — goalie Andrey Vasilevski and forward Anton Slepyshev.
Ufa players showed an excellent game in this match – both made assists (for a goalkeeper it was somewhat surprising).
Canadians have lost points in the match versus the Czech team — 4:5 (in shootouts) which was also quite a surprise.
The reigning champions Americans also have two big wins — over the Czech Republic 5:1 and Slovakia — 6:3.
The Russian national team will hold the next match versus team of Finland on December 30.
