Russian competitions in Alpine skiing finished in Beloretsk
In Beloretsk Russian competitions in Alpine skiing devoted to the memory of the USSR Master of Sports Rustem Shayhlislamov finished in the "Mratkino" ski centre.
The most prestigious in our country children competitions gathered young athletes aged 12-15 years from 30 regions of Russia, from Karachay-Cherkessia to Kamchatka. Total 350 people attended the competitions.
On the eve of the final day of the competition, starts in giant slalom were held in the age group of 1998-1999 years of birth.
The strongest skier among girls on the sum of two attempts was Alice Dudkina from Magadan, second was Anastasia Kolgotina from the Leningrad region, third place went to Galina Vorozheyko from St. Petersburg. The best result among Bashkir skiers was showed by Maria Mikhailova from Ufa. She entered the top ten and took the 9th place.
The young men from Moscow took two places on the podium: 1st place — Nikita Guryanov and 3rd place — Stepan Krukhmalev. Both reached the qualifying standard of candidate master of sports RF. The second step of the podium was taken by Alexei Konkov from Elizovo of Kamchatka Territory. Ufa sportsman Kyril Bagin showed the seventh result.
The Moscow team won the team standings at the end of all starts with total 1364 points. The youngest skiers from Kamchatka became the second — 916 points, the third place went to the team of St. Petersburg — 549 points.
Skiers and coaches noted the high level of organization, quality and level of complexity of Beloretsk slopes. In February-March 2014 another all-Russian compeitions "Olympic Hopes of Russia" are scheduled to be held at the "Mratkino" ski centre, the chief specialist of information-analytical department of Beloretsky region Administration Olga Kolesnikova informs.
