In Ufa "Development of tourism and territories. French experience" workshop took place. It was organized by Alumni Association of the Presidential Program RB and the French Embassy in Russia, which is a partner of the Presidential Program since 1998.
Participants were presented a project on creating the Centre of Intensive Education and Tourism "Pavlovsky Park — Profiland".
Representatives of the tourism industry of Bashkortostan noted the urgent need for the equipment, as well as managerial staff. Currently they need assistance in preparation of such personnel in the republic or abroad.
The representative of the French Institute of Tourism (IFT), the founder of Pro region Territorial Intelligence & Marketing Company Julia Nikulina-Geffroy proposed to create a base for the training of personnel. This idea was supported by Iskander Usmanov, the Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Communications at Ufa State University of Economics and Service marking that such a project could be implemented on the basis of the university.
At the workshop it was identified a list of priority trends in marketing promotion of the republic. They include invaluable Bashkir honey, history of nomadic Bashkirs, Bashkir national cuisine and, of course, multi-ethnicity and hospitality of the republic.
