In Magnitogorsk a unique exhibition is opened where the exposition "Age-Old Traditions and Modern Felt" will be presented, the press service of the Government of the Chelyabinsk region informs. Visitors will see both traditional products as well as contemporary artwork from felt.
Exhibits are collected from different cities, including Bashkortostan: Ufa, Beloretsk, Sterlitamak, Blagoveshchensk, Burangulovo and Sermenevo villages. Also works of masters from Yekaterinburg, Magnitogorsk, St. Petersburg are presented there. In total, about 300 articles by 80 authors are located at the stands. Among the participants are professional and amateur artists, including teachers of children's art schools and their students. Visitors will see felted cloth for yurts, carpets, easel panels, jackets, wraps, felt boots, collection of soft toys based on the Soviet cartoon "Nu Pogodi", "Winnie the Pooh", "The Adventures of Kesha The Parrot".
In addition to traditional items there are exclusive items on the display, such as necklaces, earrings and other jewelry made of felt.
