12 athletes from Bashkortostan are included in the Russian national team and will participate in the XXVI Winter Universiade, which will be held in the Italian Trentino from December 11 to 21, 2013, the Ministry of Youth and Sports RB informs.
According to preliminary data, the Games will be attended by over three thousand athletes from all over the world. The Russian team includes 170 athletes. They will compete for medals in biathlon, alpine skiing, curling, skating, Nordic combined, ski races, ski jumping, snowboarding, figure skating, freestyle skiing, short track and ice hockey. Total 70 sets of medals will be competed for.
According to the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Bashkortostan the Russian national team will include: Ramil Zarifullin (ski jumping), Adel Saifullina (ski jumping), Dmitry Migunov and Dmitry Myasnikov (short track), Mikhail Pudovkin (freestyle — ski cross), Olga Repnitsina (skiing), Anton Koprivitsa (board-cross) and Konstantin Erkaev (slope-style).
The Russian women's ice hockey team will include Julia Sadykova, Elena Bulatova and Ellina Mitrofanova.
