In the framework of the IV All-Russian Environment Congress, passing in Moscow from December 2 to 4, the Minister of Nature and Ecology of Bashkortostan Ildar Hadyev participated in the presentation session "Ecological ratings and indices as tools for sustainable development".
The session was organized by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation together with EY company. The discussion was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Natural Resources RF, subjects of the Russian Federation, consulting organizations, information, analytical and rating agencies, environmental non-governmental organizations, academic institutions and industrial enterprises.
“Any rating including environmental one forms an image of the region. Now there is a race for ratings, as they justly become a tool for sustainable development. Ratings compiled by reputable agencies serve as a guide for executive authorities and potential investors,” Ildar Hadyev said.
Following the discussion, proposals were developed for inclusion in the final resolution of the environmental congress.
Thus the development of practice of drawing up national, regional and thematic ratings and indices in the field of environmental protection will be maintained at all levels.
