Since December 1, while purchasing tickets for a long distance train you should specify additional personal information — date and place of birth, according to the website of the Kuibyshev railroad.
The requirement of the Federal Law from February 9, 2007 No. 16 -FZ "On transport security" and the order of the Ministry of Transport of Russia from July 19, 2012 No. 243 enter into force according to which passengers making travel arrangements for long-distance trains are required to provide information about the date and place of their birth.
Thus, since December 1, 2013 it is required to specify for the ticket purchase: name, surname, patronymic, date and place of birth, type and number of identity document, with which the travel document is purchased.
It should be noted that the data to be inserted additionally will not be reflected in the form of a travel document.
