It should be mentioned that in 2013 a record output yield of sugar beet over the past ten years was received in Bashkortostan. New technology of this crop cultivation, new hybrid varieties and rainfall during the second half of the summer greatly contributed to this achievement.
It is expected that the sugar mills in the region will run in a high work load until March, as each of them will have to process about 600,000 tons of sweet root vegetables.
220-230 thousand tons of sugar will be enough for republican needs in this product, the agricultural department assures.
