Unemployment rate in Bashkortostan is 1.08 percent of economically active population
Since the beginning of 2013 enterprises and organizations of the republic informed the employment service of Bashkortostan about 270.7 thousand available jobs. For comparison, in January-October of the last year the regional jobs bank received information about 251.2 thousand job vacancies.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection RB, as of November 1, 2013, there were officially 37,000 vacancies in Bashkortostan.
The share of blue-collar jobs made 81 percent in the region, with wages above the minimum living wage — 85 percent. The intensity coefficient or the ratio of unemployed to the number of vacancies was 0.7 as a whole over the republic. Thus, in Ufa and other cities this index was 0.5, in rural areas — 1.1.
The general unemployment rate totaled 1.08 percent of economically active population in the region as of November 1. And this index equaled 1 percent in the cities, in Ufa — 1.13 percent, in rural areas — 1.2 percent.
However, the republican overall unemployment rate in the third quarter of this year was 5.3 percent. In Volga Federal District and Russia as a whole, this figure was 4.5 and 5.2 percent respectively.
The economically active population amounted to approximately 1,981,000 people in the region in the third quarter of 2013. 1,875,000 people of them are employed in the economy, 105.8 thousand people are unemployed.
