In Bashkortostan, gross output of agriculture exceeded 94 billion rubles for the first nine months of 2013. This is an eight percent more than in January-September 2012. These data were reported at the press conference by the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic Nikolay Kovalenko.
According to Nikolay Kovalenko, for this time animal products output amounted to 55 billion rubles in the region, crop production — to 39 billion rubles. Agricultural enterprises produced goods worth about 27 billion rubles, or 29 percent of total gross production in Bashkortostan.
The volume of state support provided to farmers from the budgets of both levels reached 5 billion.
“To date, the industry employs more than 120,000 people. I should mark that on wages indexes we are within the planned growth — plus 3.6 percent compared to the last year. The average monthly wage of agricultural workers in the country now exceeds 11,000 rubles”. Nikolay Kovalenko told reporters.
