Natural growth of population was registered in Bashkortostan in January-August 2013
According Bashkortostanstat (Federal State Statistics Service), a demographic situation in January -August 2013 in the country was characterized by an increase in the birth rate and death rate, compared to the same period in 2012. However, during this period natural growth of the population was observed in Bashkortostan.
Thus, for the first eight months of this year 39125 people were born in the republic, which is by 0.8 percent more than in January — August last year. The death rate was 36112, an increase of 0.5 percent compared to the same period of the last year. The natural population growth constituted 3013 people.
According to statistics, a large share of deaths from diseases of blood circulatory system (47.9 percent), malignant and benign tumors (11 percent), accidents, poisonings and injuries (10.5 percent) remains in the region.
Overall migration gain amounted to 4112 people in Bashkortostan for eight months of 2013.
At the same time, leaving of population to other regions of Russia (4010 people for eight months in 2013) is observed in the republic. There is still a positive migration balance with the countries of the CIS (7554 people) and other foreign countries (568), spokesmen of the territorial body of the Federal State Statistics Service on Bashkortostan stated.
