Ufa takes the ninth place in Top-100 of the Russian largest cities on living convenience
The St.-Petersburg Institute of Territorial Planning "Urbanika" has summed up the next research results of «Integrated Rating of 100 largest cities of Russia», developed together with the Union of Architects of Russia.
By results of this rating the capital of Bashkortostan has taken the ninth place, being ahead of such large cities of the country, as Rostov-on-Don (10th place), Nizhni Novgorod (16), Novosibirsk (17), Chelyabinsk (18), St.-Petersburg (19), Kazan (20), Samara (21), Omsk (24), Volgograd (25) and Perm (28).
And among million cities of Russia Ufa, according to results of the integrated rating, takes the third place. Only Yekaterinburg and Voronezh are ahead of the Bashkir capital.
At research carrying out such important parametres for townspeople, as quality of city environment were considered. Among them there is habitation availability, modern consumption formats, traffic intensity of city roads, crime rate, illumination of a city, external transport availability, and also favourable natural environment, level of accomplishment and ecological pollution.
Thus life cost is defined by possibility to acquire habitation or rent one-room apartment, level of public utilities expenses, level of consumption expenses and purchasing power of the population.
It should be mentioned that settlements with number of inhabitants above 170 thousand people where almost 44 percent of the country population live can participate in the integrated rating of 100 largest cities of Russia.
