Exhibition of Turkish contemporary painting will be opened in the National Museum RB

The exhibition «Aesthetic approach and creative thinking in Turkish contemporary painting» will be opened in the National Museum of Bashkortostan Republic at midday, October 11. The exposition represents compositions from the collection of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey. The Central Bank is one of the most influential establishments in the economy of Turkey. At the same time it is one of the largest collectors of national art. The collection of canvases reflects features of Turkish art development since 1930-s till the present time.

For the first time representing its collection in Bashkortostan, the Central Bank is guided by idea of promoting cultural values and variety of Turkish art forms in the international information environment, considering it as its duty to the country.

30 pictures are included in the exposition. 23 artists show the original art of the country, which is in the junction of eastern and western cultures. The selection of works displays integrity and continuity of the Turkish art combining traditions with relevancy and focusing on the future.

On October 11, a press conference will take place in the museum building. The beginning is at 11 o'clock, local time.

The exhibition will work till October 31.
