Representatives of Bashkortostan have taken part in the 31st meeting of TURKSOY Permanent Council

The capital of Turkey Ankara hosted the 31st meeting of TURKSOY Permanent Council from October 1 till October 3.

The  Ministers of Culture of TURKSOY member countries and observers of the TURKSOY organization took part in the meeting work, namely from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, the Republic of Bashkortostan (RF), the Republic of Tatarstan (RF), the Tyva Republic (RF) and Gagauzia (Moldova). Our republic was represented by the Deputy Minister of Culture of Bashkortostan Shamil Abdrakov. It should be mentioned that the 30th meeting was spent in September, 2012 in Ufa.

The participants were greeted by the Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey  Omer CELIK  и TURKSOY Secretary General  Dusen Kaseinov.

The meeting was accompanied by various artistic events. Violinists of the TURKSOY Youth Orchestra took part in the concert program.

On October 1, visitors have visited Ataturk's Mausoleum, and then they gathered in the Concert Hall of the Presidential Symphony Orchestra for the solemn concert devoted to the 20th anniversary of the International organisation of Turkic culture.

Azat Bikchurin, the known Bashkir kurai player, the soloist of Bashkir State Philarmonic Society, the honoured artist of the republic took part in the concert, the press-service of the Ministry of Culture RB informs.

On October 2, the meeting of ministers and heads of delegations with the President of Turkish Republic Abdullah Gül took place in his residence. This very day an art exhibition was opened at TURKSOY headquarters foyer.

During the meeting issues of activity of the International organisation TURKSOY, the run-up to "Kazan, the Cultural Capital of the Turkic World 2014", carrying out of the song competition «Turkvision – Eskisehir 2013» plans of TURKSOY work in 2014 and other issues were discussed.
