Sugar beet is harvested on 11 percent of areas under crops in Bashkiria

According to the press-service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Bashkortostan, sugar beet is harvested on the area of more than 5,7 thousand hectares that makes 11 percent of sugar beet plantings in the republic.

The "sweet" harvest season goes at a fast pace in Kushnarenkovsky and Bakalinsky regions now,

where 30 and 21 percent of areas are taken in accordingly.

For today average yield of sugar beet makes 325 cwts per hectare in the republic. Thus more than 400 cwts of sweet root crops per hectare are harvested now by farmers of Blagovarsky and Ermekeevsky regions.

As a whole across Bashkiria about 185,6 thousand tons of sweet root crops are collected. From them almost 47,4 thousand tons were sent for processing.
