American pre-fabricated houses "will test" Bashkir winter for the first time
It is planned to establish three pre-fabricated apartment houses manufactured by Green World Restoration, LLC (USA) in the Ufa region of Bashkortostan for estimating their operational characteristics in the conditions of local winter. The head of the Ufa region administration Michael Davidov informed about it after the meeting of the President RB Rustem Khamitov with Otto Hans Van Maerssen, the US Consul General in Yekaterinburg where issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed.
“This enterprise (Green World Restoration, LLC) numbering 30 employees makes two houses on a turn-key basis every day,” Michael Davidov said. “We have made our offers and have agreed that we will give them our layout designs, and they will develop housing sets for assembling here. For today they have already brought the decisions. Calculations are made considering the temperature of 40 degrees below zero. According to preliminary estimates, cost per square metre is from 11 to 15 thousand rbl. But all this is only on paper so far.”
According to the head of the Ufa region, pre-fabricated structures consist of foam concrete made on special technology with a flameproof insulant. Results of operational testing will define the further destiny of the project.
Subsequently three "test" houses with the area of 60, 75 and 105 square metres together with land plots are planned to be sold.
“We will examine all materials at our laboratories; we will receive our conclusions on them. Only after that any decisions can be made,” Michael Davidov said.
