The President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov has thanked the inhabitants of the republic who took part in the elections the day before.
“I would like to express gratitude to the people who took part in the elections, who came at polling stations and executed their civil duty,” the head of the republic declared at the briefing on Monday. “I see that the people who came at polling stations were guided not by their emotions, but by understanding and common sense. They estimated all risks which can be at this or that voting option. The result received at these elections testifies to the fact that emotions were not taken into consideration and people consciously made their choice. I express gratitutde to all those, who found time to estimate work of authorities. Because, elections are also a kind of referendum, where voters estimate a current situation in the region or in the country.”
