Sugar beet harvesting is now conducted in 10 from 23 sugar beet sowing regions of Bashkortostan.
Now sugar beet is harvested on the area of more than 1,9 thousand hectares in the republic that makes four percent from the plan.
Thus the highest rates of work are marked at farms of Bakalinsky region, which have already cut 12 percent of areas under crops.
Average crop yield of sugar beet makes 337 cwts per hectare in the republic. Today Blagovarsky region is the leader on crop yield of sweet root crops.
As a whole over 64,9 thousand tons of sugar beet are harvested in Bashkiria. From them more than 11,5 thousand tons are sent for processing, the press-service of the Ministry of Agriculture RB informs.
