Ufa «Salavat Yulaev» enters top 4 of the richest KHL clubs

Applications submission by hockey clubs of Kontinental Hockey League for participation in the 2013/2014 championship has come to the end, the official website of the league informs.

It should be mentioned that on September 4, the sixth KHL Championship starts with a match between finalists the last season play-off — Moscow "Dynamo" and Chelyabinsk "Tractor".

The ceiling value of wages of Kontinental Hockey League clubs for the season 2013/2014 is established in the sum of 1 290 300 000 rbl. The bottom limit of wages remains at the level of 250 000 000 rbl.

In order to keep players of the world level in the league and to create conditions for attraction of star players to KHL Championship there is  a possibility allowing clubs as an exception not to consider these limits while defining incomes of several players: Anton Babchuk («Salavat Yulaev»), Alexander Burmistrov («Ak Bars»), Ilya Kovalchuk (SKA), Leonid Komarov ("Dynamo" Moscow), Sergey Kostitsyn ("Avantgard"), Alexander Radulov (CSKA) and Ruslan Fedotenko ("Donbass").

Four clubs exceeded a mark of billion rbl.: SKA (St.-Petersburg) — 1 271 188 169; «Ak Bars» (Kazan) — 1 085 187 291; "Metallurg" (Magnitogorsk) — 1 033 995 000; «Salavat Yulaev» — 1 011 274 146.

"Metallurg" Novokuznetsk has the lowest budget— only 194 117 657 rbl.
