Last decade of August a delegation of Bashkortostan – businessmen of «Opora Russia» (the All-Russian NGO of Small and Medium-sized Businesses) visited Latvia and Estonia with a business mission. The visit occurred as part of «Bashkortostan-Europe 2013» motor rally which main objective was studying of foreign experience of small-scale business development and conditions of its state support, presentation of Bashkortostan and further development of cooperation with the Baltic countries.
In Latvia the main meetings were held aimed at development of economic cooperation of two parties in such spheres, as wood-working, construction, mechanical engineering, medicine, tourism, culture and education. The delegation of Bashkortostan visited Riga, Olaine, Ventspils, Jelgava. The guests visited various enterprises, familiarised with industrial products of Latvia.
In Estonia the delegation of Bashkortostan was solemnly met by the Deputy Head of Paldiski City Council Eldar Toonverk, heads of public organisations and businessmen. They prepared an intense program of meetings directed on joint projects implementation in business and sports.
