The President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov considers that it is necessary to revive sectoral science in the region. First of all it concerns returning to practice of research centres forming at factories and enterprises. This question was discussed at the meeting of the head of the republic with a core group of Kumertau residents.
“I am sure that further progress is impossible without revival of sectoral science, without creation of industrial research laboratories, sectors, divisions. We are aware of similar positive experience over the world. It is obvious that it is potentially productive to create research centres. I am ready to restore these research centres at enterprises, including the Kumertau Aviation Enterprise. Probably, we should consider the question of allocating funds for research activity from the republic budget.”
The President offered heads of the enterprises to be engaged in this direction.
“If you start to allocate money for research activity, your business will go much better. Do not save on it,” the head of the republic recommended.
