Teachers of Bashkortostan discuss school education problems and tasks
A republican August teachers council takes place in the city of Birsk. Rustem Khamitov, the President of Bashkortostan takes part in it.
Among the main tasks for the forthcoming years, which the head of the republic has set to workers of the branch is introduction of modern smart education.
Rustem Khamitov mentioned demographic indicators on which basis new educational institutions should be erected.
The President of Bashkortostan has analysed difficult process of optimisation in the education sphere. Till 2005 the number of schools in the republic was within 3200-3300. By 2010 their number decreased to 1800. For the last two years 150-200 educational institutions more were included in the optimization program.
According to the norms established by the federal legislation, at least 15 pupils should be accounted for one teacher. The optimisation is spent issuing from this ratio.
The region leadership suggests changing this indicator towards reduction to stop thoughtless reduction of schools.
“We should not close schools, but should work on the basis of expediency,” the head of the republic said. “We will continue work in order to make this indicator 11-12 pupils per teacher. Such proportions should be accepted by subjects.”
At the republican August teachers council volumes of financing of the branch were analysed. Annually it increases by 20-25 percent and following the results of the last year made 48,3 billion rbl. These funds were spent on increase of labour remuneration and schools modernisation.
“These figures are not suitable for us, we need more funds. We have schools unsuitable for studies. We know it and we do not conceal it. We should increase budgets of our educational system,” Rustem Khamitov marked.
