Aeroflot low-cost airline will fly to Ufa in 2014
Aeroflot plans to start its own low cost airline in March, 2014, "Vedomosti" informs.
For a basis it is planned to take development models of the largest airlines — Ryanair and Jet Star.
İn the beginning the park of a new airline will include eight planes. In 2014 they will fly to St.-Petersburg, Samara, Yekaterinburg, Makhachkala, Krasnodar, Ufa, Kaliningrad and New Urengoy. In 2016 there will be already 26 directions, the project presentation informs. The routing network will probably cover international directions — Kiev, Istanbul, Yerevan, Barcelona. Within five years the carrier park will grow to 40-50 aircrafts.
The average price of air tickets at the first stage, for example, from Moscow to Yekaterinburg will make about 4135 rbl. (cheaper than the present average price by 29 percent), to Samara — 3100 rbl. (for 43 percent), Ufa — 3485 rbl. (for 31 percent), that is comparable with cost of train tickets, it is said in the presentation. Therefore the most part of additional demand should be formed due to railway passengers.
