An offsite meeting concerning social and economic development of Agidel was spent by the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov during his working trip on Saturday.
Opening the meeting, Rustem Khamitov marked that Agidel was the youngest city of the republic and the most problematic. With stopping of the Bashkir atomic power plant construction people appeared in a difficult situation there. For the past since then 23 years the situation has not changed to the best essentially.
According to Rustem Khamitov, the intensity ratio in the city labour market makes 17,8 (0,5 - over the republic as a whole), the monthly average salary is 17,7 thousand roubles (about 23 thousand rbl. is over RB).
The President reminded that in 2011 it was decided to organise on the basis of objects of the plant «Construction materials of Bashkortostan» industrial park. However investors are not very much interested in them, as objects are in "Rosatom"’s property and a long-term rent is not granted.
The issue should be completely solved within the next two-three months, the President assured, therefore «it is already necessary to think over a plan elaboration on attracting investors, creation of new jobs».
Rustem Khamitov specified a number of advantages of Agidel. The city is at the junction of five regions, has good highways and a railway branch. The development plan of transport infrastructure of the republic till 2020 assumes construction of Ufa – Blagoveshchensk – Birsk – Agidel railway branch. Availability of the navigable river allows serving vessels of the "river-sea" class.
According to Rustem Khamitov, a possibility to locate in Agidel a shiprepairing-shipyard plant and an office of the Belsky river shipping company is considered. There are offers to organise manufacture of hi-tech equipment for energy sector, gas industry and road-transport. "Universal" machine-building plant is ready to produce equipment for the petrochemical and nuclear industry. There are some plans at "Vostokneftezavodmontazh".
“The task is very big,” Rustem Khamitov marked. “Three-five years for reaching a significant result, 10-15 years for attaining serious, normal development. We actually start to move on an alternative way of the city of Agidel development, on the way of creation of new manufactures. And we have no choice in the matter.”
