Business elite of India was interested in Bashkir biotechnologies, machine-tool industry and pharmaceutics
In Moscow, in the Embassy of India in the Russian Federation, a presentation of economic potential of Bashkortostan Republic took place the day before, the press-service of “Office-group of SCO and BRICS“Ufa-2015” Autonomous Non-Commercial Organization informs. Our region was presented by the Deputy Prime-Minister of Government RB Salavat Sagitov, the head of Ufa city administration Irek Yalalov, the Deputy Minister of Economic Development RB Vadim Utyashev, the first Deputy Minister of Industry and Innovative Policy RB Rustam Khairullin, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture RB Rail Afzalov, the general director of Institute of Energy Resources Transportation Problems, the chairman of «Bashkortostan — India» friendship society Asgat Gumerov, and also representatives of large enterprises of the region.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India in the Russian Federation Ajai Malhotra in his opening speech underlined that he sincerely liked and appreciated inhabitants and culture of Bashkortostan. He said that during his former visit to Bshkortostan he was really impressed with hospitality, care and attention to the students from India. Ajai Malhotra reminded the present that the Bashkir State Puppet Theatre was the single in Russia winner of Jawaharlal Nehru Award.
The chairman of «Bashkortostan — India» friendship society Asgat Gumerov told about the history of mutual relations between our regions. They began in the middle of the last century when Bashkir oil industry workers started to help India with exploration and developemnt of oil deposits.
Indian businessmen were interested in several projects of mutually advantageous cooperation. The greatest interest was aroused by biotechnologies, pharmaceutics and machine-tool construction. In particular, on the basis of "ЕСМ" company the republic suggests Indian partners creating a service centre on the most complicated nano-technological equipment maintenance.
In return the Vice-Premier of Government RB Salavat Sagitov marked that «India is one of key players in BRICS and SCO international organisations, and our republic is ready to develop mutually advantageous cooperation in all spheres: from social and economic to cultural-educational».
The head of Ufa administration Irek Yalalov underlined that Ufa was not only modern and actively developing megacity, but also a city always welcoming visitors. The mayor officially invited the Indian delegation to visit Ufa.
The presentation was finished with informal socializing during which Indian businessmen admitted that they loved the Bashkir cuisine.
