The industrial production index (IPP) in Bashkortostan in May 2013 made 101,5 percent compared to May, 2012, the Bashkortostan Statistics Agency informs.
IPP by April, 2013 is 106,5 percent. Result of January-May is 101,6 percent to the comparable indicator of the last year.
Within five months of this year statisticians observed positive trends in pulp-and-paper manufacture, publishing and polygraphic activity (138,2 percent by January-May, 2012), in metallurgical production (113,1), manufacture of mineral oil and vehicles (108,5 and 109,1 percent, accordingly), rubber and plastic products, electric equipment, in generation of electric power, gas and water (104,2 — 105,4 percent), in mining operations (102,8).
At the same time, for this period decrease in textile and sewing manufacture (by 18,9 percent), food (by 15,8), chemical products (by 8,5) is marked.
According to the Bashkortostan Statistics Agency, all-Russian IPP in January-May is 100,2 percent year-on-year. In Volga Federal District this indicator fluctuates from 85 percent in the Chuvash Republic to 111,4 percent in the Nizhniy Novgorod Region.
