On June 27 and 28, the Ministry of Ecology of Bashkortostan together with "Iremel" Natural Park within the limits of the Year of Environment Protection will hold a seminar with participation of regional and federal specially protected natural areas of Bashkortostan, Sverdlovsk and Chelyabinsk Regions, municipalities, and also representatives of science and public.
Participants of the seminar will discuss prospects of creating an inter-regional biosphere reserve as a part of "Iremel" Natural Park, "Zyuratkuhl" National Park and "Ural-Tau" Special Nature Reserve. The offer on creation of the second in Bashkortostan reserve was announced by the Executive secretary of the Commission of the Russian Federation on UNESCO affairs Grigory Ordzhonikidze at the ceremony of certificate handing over on including «Bashkir Ural» reserve in the List of the World heritage of UNESCO in the end of the last year.
It should be mentioned that specially protected five natural areas are included in the structure of «Bashkir Ural». Now the Coordination council on management of «Bashkir Ural» biospheric reserve develops the concept of this territory development.
As a whole the world network of biospheric reserves consists now from 610 objects located in 117 countries of the world.
