In Bashkortostan election campaign to the State Assembly-Kurultay RB of the fifth convocation has begun. Elections will be held on September 8, 2013.
The structure of the republican legislative body will be formed from 110 deputies. Half from them are elected on one-mandatory election districts. Another half are elected on party lists of candidates on uniform election district — the territory of the republic.
“In total 175 election campaigns are expected during which 356 deputy mandates will be replaced,” the Chairman of the Central Election Committee RB Haidar Valeev said at the press conference in Bashinform News Agency.
As the head of the republican CEC underlined, for the first time elections would be held in multi-party system conditions. According to all available information, 70 political parties are registered in Russia. In Bashkortostan there are 41 regional branches of parties from which 38 have the right to participate in the elections.
“27966 members are appointed for participation in polling site commissions, from them of 58,8 percent — are nominated by parties,” Haidar Valeev explained.
At the press conference it was said that web cameras would not be established at electoral districts as it would result in rise in cost of election campaign by 100 million rbl. According to Haidar Valeev, it will be allocated about 400 million rbl. for these elections.
