The famous fashion designer Vyacheslav Zaitsev has arrived at Ufa for working over a new school uniform. Within the limits of his visit he met with the President of Bashkortostan Republic Rustem Khamitov.

“I support the school uniform usage”, the President RB marked. “It is a common dress-code, discipline; it obliges to correct behaviour at school. In the near future we will accept administrative documents where we will recommend introducing it at schools.”

According to the factory director Zuhra Ismagilova, school uniform working out was begun at the Ufa knitting factory five years ago. Jersey is in its basis as one of the most comfortable and practical fabrics for daily wearing. The well-known couturier agreed to take part in the collection completion.

The school uniform is almost ready up to the sixth form. For the senior school the combined clothes — pullovers, waistcoats and white shirts are provided. Vyacheslav Zaitsev expressed his hope that Ufa would become an ancestor of school uniform in Russia.

A possibility of consultations concerning the Bashkir clothes collection which will be displayed at presentation of Bashkortostan in Paris in October this year was discussed at the meeting with the President.

“Certainly, the collection should represent modern interpretation of the Bashkir image, instead of domination of ornaments,” Vyacheslav Zaitsev said and promised to help with choosing models.
