Representatives of Samsung SDS defined the information society status in Bashkiria as «desirable to be improved»
A group of experts of the South Korean Samsung SDS company headed by the senior adviser of the company Kim Yong Mun visited Ufa under the invitation of the republican leadership, the press-service of the Agency for Information Technologies RB informs.
Samsung SDS representatives held presentations of projects «Smart Government», «Smart Training», «Smart City Services», «Smart Data-Processing Centre».
Besides, they presented a plan on information society development in Bashkortostan Republic till 2022. Samsung SDS experts estimated the general status of IT Infrastructure RB as «desirable to be improved».
The special attention was paid to vital topic of smart education. Samsung SDS offered three main directions of development: creation of "smart" classes, a training web-portal and e-learning centre. Thus, electronic textbooks, smart boards, tablet computers, special intellectual platforms will be used in "smart" classes. At the initial stage it is offered to organise such classes at ten schools as an experiment.
The great value in projects is given to competence of e-learning teachers. For effective development of the whole system it is necessary to start working in all directions simultaneously, during the period from 2013 for 2016.
Joint work of Bashkortostan and the South Korean company Samsung SDS became more active after Rustem Khamitov’s visit to the Republic of Korea in December last year. The cooperation purpose is to prepare the long-term plan (project) of electronic communication development for increase of competitiveness of Bashkiria and improvement of life quality of the population. The program estimated cost on development of information society is 1,2 billion rbl., an implementation term — till 2020.
