Bashkortostan is the first in Russia on number of cattle
The Bashkortostan Republic confidently wins the first place in Russia by quantity of great cattle — 1293,3 thousand heads of livestock. Tatarstan is on the second place (1094,6 thousand heads), Dagestan wins the "bronze" (1019,7 thousand heads).
As the press-service of the Ministry of Agriculture RB informs, 6,25 percent of livestock number of the country and 21,3 percent of Volga Federal District are accounted for the share of Bashkortostan.
The number of cattle in Bashkortostan exceeds now the livestock number of all Ural Federal District, Northwest and Far East Federal Districts, taken together.
In Bashkortostan, in comparison with January-March, 2012, the livestock number is increased in owner-operated farms by 19,5 percent. 705,4 thousand heads of cattle are kept in personal part-time farms, 485,3 thousand in agricultural enterprises.
According to analysts, these months high indicators on milk manufacture in the republic are quite characteristic — 330,2 thousand tons. The share of milk output produced in Bashkortostan makes 5,3 percent in the Russian Federation,16,4 percent in Volga Federal District .
