On the threshold of the 68th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War the members of Young Guard movement from New Otradovka village of Sterlitamaksky region organised the «Soldier's Kerchief» action, ER.RU informs. The action took place in the frameworks of «I Do Good Deeds» marathon.
Pupils of rural school prepared square patches of fabric, and on each of them wrote names of veterans of the Great Patriotic War from their region specifying years of their life and ranks. Sewing together of these patches into a uniform cloth became the following step in creation of the «Soldier's Kerchief».
By the holiday of the Great Victory the «Soldier's Kerchief» with the names of veterans on it will be placed at the stand at the rural school.
“Names of people unknown to the public are engraved on the patches: no books are written about them, no monuments are erected to them. But for us they are heroes,” active members of Young Guard of New Otradovka village marked.
