Deputies of the State Assembly plan to consider amendments to the regulations of the parliament work, providing transition from the closed voting mode to the open voting at the nearest plenary session.
As the State Assembly press-service informs, voting by show of hands is vote by rollcall, calculation of votes will be carried out by the electronic system. On the basis of the received data lists with voting results will be formed and printed out. They also will be registered in shorthand reports and reports of sessions; they can be disclosed in republican mass media.
According to the Chairman of the State Assembly Konstantin Tolkachev, amendments are accepted in order to maintain openness and transparency of the legislative body.
“Each deputy gives certain promises to voters, and they should have a possibility to monitor what position on this or that question he occupies, how he votes and why. Such measure will enhance the responsibility of deputies to the population,” the speaker underlined.
